The CATicles of Narnia

Today we went on our C.S. Lewis tour in Oxford. We actually had our own private tour by Douglas Gresham's childhood friend, Ron. He took us to some awesome places. This is the pub that the Inklings used to frequent.
He also took us by J.R.R Tolkein's house. This garage was where he wrote the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
My favorite place that we visited was Lewis' house at the Kilns.
The forest and lake behind the house were much of the inspiration for Narnia!

I'm in Narnia!!!
SO BEAUTIFUL!
This is the church that he went to and where he is now buried.

There is an honorary CS Lewis pew inside
There is also a Narnia window.
What a magical day!

Loch Lomond

Here is Ted and Betty, my relatives/tour guides.

ooooh...I'm such a lucky kitty to get to see the beautiful Loch Lomond!
A delicious MiniKitty cappuccino...well not so mini, compared to the kitty.
I hope I don't get eaten by a fish...at least Uncle Jon isn't trying to eat me anymore!
We stopped at the beautiful little village of Luss on our drive along the lake. Lovely, lovely, lovely!
I even saw a swan on the lake taking a bath!
Should I go for a swim?

My Crazy Scottish Relatives

My 2 Scottish Cousins and Uncle Jon all kilted up!
Newly affirmed Scottish Uncle Jon bestows his Scottish blessing upon me.
The after dinner spontaneous Scottish sing-a-long. I LOVE it!

Edinburgh, Scotland

Edinburgh is sooooo amazing! Here I am at the castle. I wonder if they need a new royal cat...
This is one of the views from atop the castle.
The guard horse and I exchanged stories about the olden days.
This was both of our first times to try haggis. I have to say it was not too bad!
We walked down the Royal Mile and ended at Holyrood Palace. This is where the Queen stays when she comes to visit. She gets to enjoy these beautiful Rhodies too!

Beatrix Potter in the Lake District, England

We stopped in the Lake District at the Beatrix Potter museum. It was so fun..I fit right in with all of the other little animals. Beatrix herself even welcomed me in!
This is me with the mischevious bunnies.
Here I am with Zluv and the Owl.
Other MiniKitties!!!
There's nothing like hanging out in the garden. :-)
Uh-oh...here comes Mr MacGregor!
Beach Sheep...must be a nice life!
Loved the Lake District!!

St Asaph, Wales

We traveled to Wales today. On the way, we stopped at Trim Castle in Ireland. It was the castle they used in filming Braveheart. It was puh-retty coo.
Here I am on the Jonathan Swift ferry to Wales.
We arrived in Wales to be welcomed by the most hospitable couple, Patrick and Sarah. She was a cat fan, so I was especially welcomed.
We had a delicious dinner of lamb and veggies and a choice of cheesecake or meringue for dessert!
These are the fresh eggs they get from their neighbors. It even has the name of the hen that laidit on each egg.
Dancing Kitty!
Here is my black cat friend. She was very nice.
What a lovely B&B!
